Figure 2From: Experimental and theoretical simulation of sublimating dusty water ice with implications for D/H ratios of water ice on Comets and Mars Microscopy of 25 wt% 1.5 μm diameter TiO 2 dust in water ice following flash freezing in LN2. The ice grains formed are ~20 μm across and are separated by a matrix of the finer dust. Generally, lower concentrations of dust produced larger characteristic grain sizes.Back to article page
